How can I complain?

Hunger proclamations are so cliche, but how many of us have ever truly been hungry? Have I ever been in need of anything that I didn’t have?  This image by James Nachtwey kind of puts everything into perspective. What are your problems, really?Â
I remember my sister’s words during one conversation: “It costs so much to live.” My response: “In this country.” I guarantee you that you wouldn’t be dreaming about anything too superficial in this environment or the company of this man.
I hope you look at this and appreciate all that you have. To appreciate it, though, you’ve got to see it. Privilege is an blinding illusion. Open the discourse. Even those of us that constantly want to discuss how we were wronged are privileged. Don’t be so myopic.Â
