New sustainable living

Simon Dale’s woodland home in Wales.
What’s really good? Natural building, Earthships and ecovillages! Turns out that they’re all over the place, which is really cool. A couple in Wales built the atypically beautiful home you see above for about $6,000. To see more pictures, go here. Won’t last forever, but houses aren’t supposed to.Â

This is an Earthship in Phoenix. BEAUTIFUL!
Earthships are houses made of earth-filled tires and are meant to be self-sustainable providing their own electricity, water collection, and heating. They’re built into the ground to maintain the temperature in the house, which only varies about 3-4 degrees throughout the year. I find them to be extremely cool.Â
Hear a word from the creator of Earthships…
What are ecovillages?
