Look and you shall find.

Just as you are what you eat, you are what you think. Most of life has less to do with actual opportunities and more with responses. The way we see the world shapes our experience of the world. I frequently consider myself to be a recovering cynic and, as such, need constant positive reinforcement. I need to see goodness in the world. I need to know that there are people, corporations, institutions, and ideas working for the benefit of us all, not just specific, dominant in-groups.

What My World’s Like started as a personal project geared at changing my habitual response to look for the negative towards looking for the positive. You’ll find a variety of things, people, ideas, sites and entities that I’m proud exist to do the work they’re doing, as well as some of my questions, ideas, and reactions.  Over time, with more intention behind my goal, I realized that the more positive attributes I identify within myself and the more confidence I have in my ability to positively act upon the world, the more I automatically move towards finding and highlighting the up side.

In order to have the better tomorrow that we all envision, we must transform the trajectory of what we believe is possible. We can start with changing our responses and altering our inclination towards the bad to an inclination towards the good.

I love this blog and if you get something from it, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach me here.  If you like what you find here, you’ll probably like my Twitter feed,  Twitter.com/elleepiphany.  There are plenty of goodies there that never make it onto this site.
