the cadence of bruce lee’s speech makes it so that i can listen to him talk all day. in addition to that, he’s got gems to share.

“my life it seems like is a life of self-examination and self-peeling of my self, bit by bit, day by day….”

“when i look around, i always learn something and that is to be always yourself, and to express yourself, to have faith in yourself.
do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.”

“empty your mind. be formless. shapeless. like water. now, you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup.
you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle.
you put it in a tea pot, it becomes the tea pot.
now water can flow, or it can crash. be water, my friend.”

“running water never grows stale, so you’ve got to keep on flowing.”

Help charity: water provide clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Their “Born in September” campaign asks people born in September to forgo gifts and ask friends and family to donate to charity: water. For those not born in September, charity: water asks that they donate $33 to the organization in honor of the founder’s 33rd birthday.

Last year, those funds were used to build wells in Kenya. This year, the money will go to building wells in Ethiopia. The goal is to raise $1.5 million to help 300 villages access clean water.

Your new water filters

In light of the truth about tap water and fluoride, I’m switching my Brita faucet filter to an Aquasana faucet and shower filter. Until December 15th, Aquasana is offering both together for $159.

This action is in lieu of the larger initiatives I’d take if I had my own house. In that case, I’d get a whole house filter for about $1,000.  Not bad for a filtration system that requires maintenance once every three years.

If you’re uncertain or skeptical about the dangers of fluoride in water, please see the videos below. In this 3-part interview with journalist Christopher Bryson who uncovered the secret history of fluoride in his book The Fluoride Deception.

In addition to using water filters which significantly reduce the amount of fluoride in water, you should start using natural toothpastes that don’t contain fluoride.
